Howard Phillip Hart, Jr

Funeral services for Howard Phillip Hart, Jr., age 53, of Toccoa will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from The Torch Worship Center. Pastor Mike Franklin and Rev. Milton Harris will officiate assisted by Jerry Palmer and Chad Black.

Mr. Hart died Monday, September 26, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Anderson, South Carolina on December 1, 1957, Phil was the son of Frances Finley Hart and the late Howard Phillip Hart, Sr. At a very young age Mr. Hart answered the call to serve Northeast Georgia in many areas of public safety and service. He was employed with Habersham EMS for 33 years where he was a Paramedic Supervisor and Air Life Georgia for six years as a Flight Medic. Mr. Hart was a previous Field Training Officer for the Georgia State Office of EMS and he was an EMT and paramedic instructor at North Georgia Technical College and Lanier Technical College. During his time off, Phil spent a great deal of time enjoying the great outdoors.

Survivors include his mother Frances Finley Hart, wife Robin Hart, son Zac Hart and daughter Reagan Hart all of the home, son Josh Hart, and sisters Cheryl Sherill and Cynthia Jarvis.
