James Robert "Bob" Reeves,

Obituary Date: Monday, July 25, 2011
Funeral services for James Robert "Bob" Reeves, age 84, of Clarkesville will be held at Clarkesville First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 28, 2011 with Rev. Phil Demore and Rev. Rick Price officiating. Interment will follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by the Georgia Military Honors Funeral Team of Ft. Gillem, Georgia.

Mr. Reeves died Monday, July 25 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born November 1, 1926 in Vallejo, California, Mr. Reeves was the son of the late J.R. and Grace Reeves. He served the area through family-owned Reeves Hardware in Clarkesville, Habersham Hardware of Cornelia, and up until his retirement in 2010, Habersham Hardware of Clarkesville.

Mr. Reeves was one of the two most long-standing members of Clarkesville First United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Clarkesville Lions Club for many years, as well as a leader with the Clarkesville Boy Scout Troup 5. He served his country in the United States Navy.

Mr. Reeves is survived by his wife of 64 years, Faye Reeves; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Debbie Reeves of Dahlonega, and Randy and Charlotte Reeves of Woodstock; grandchildren, Chris Reeves, Kim Reeves, Anna and Ashley Reeves; great grandchildren, Hannah, Blake, Noah, and Gracen Reeves; two brothers and sisters in law, Jack and Charlotte Reeves of Clarkesville, and Bill and Sandra Reeves of Clayton; and two sisters and brothers in law, Jane and Jack Grant of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Evelyn and Doug Church of Clarkesville.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 6-9 PM.
