Mrs. Lee Nix Stovall

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announcing the death of Mrs. Lee Nix Stovall, age 95 of Gastonia, North Carolina formerly of Cleveland.

Mrs. Stovall passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at a private nursing home following a period of declining health.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 10, 2011 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Hoyt Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.

Mrs. Stovall was born in White County on September 21, 1915 to the late E.G. Nix and Irene Underwood Nix. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Cleveland United Methodist Church for several years. She was known for her painting, sewing and growing beautiful flowers. Mrs. Stovall is preceded in death by her husband Farrell Stovall and daughter Martha Elizabeth Young as well as several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Dorothy and Franklin Presley; grandson, and daughter in law Michael and Penny Presley, granddaughter and son in law, Michelle and Andy Stalder as well as two great grandchildren all of Stanley, North Carolina; sisters, Mary Kinter of Fayetteville, Georgia and Evelyn Worley of Elijay, Georgia

Flowers will be acknowledged, however memorial donations are requested made to the Testnatee Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour
