Carlton "Buster" Rider

Carltob "Buster" Rider, 56, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday July 7, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born October 4, 1954 to the late Carl and Leona Rider, he was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. Mr. Rider was a former machinery installer for Alltek and was a member of Antiock Baptist Church.

Surviving are his sons, Billy Joe Rider, Dawsonville, Michael Carlton Rider, Gainesville; sisters, Daisy Shadix, Dawsonville, Nancy Chester, Gainesville, Barbara James, Dawsonville, Beverly Bingham, Dawsonville, Sue Thompson, Dawsonville, Sandra Morris, Dawsonville; brothers, Harold Rider, Dawsonville, Clifton Rider, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Logan Rider, Jackson Rider, Breanna Rider, Alexia Rider, Tessa Arroway; special friends, Kim McClelland, James Cato; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Saturday July 9, 2011 at 3 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Randall Woody and Rev. Gary Gravitt will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to assist with final expenses.
