Larry J. Fortner

Larry J. Fortner age 63, of Hoschton, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Larry enjoyed working on all things including his garden. He loved his family and grandchildren.

Mr. Fortner was a US Army Veteran in which he served in Vietnam. He is survived by his mother Grace Brock Fortner of Hoschton; his wife Nellie Hayes Fortner of Hoschton; sons Shane Fortner and wife Pamela Ann of Jefferson; Michael C. Fortner and wife Kristy of Clayton; Brandon Fortner and David Fortner of Hoschton; daughters Brandy Elliott and husband Andy of Hoschton; April Johnson and husband Randy of Fairburn; brother Harry Fortner of Winder; sister Elaine Hayes of Auburn; and grandchildren Zachary, Bradley, Nicholas, Chad, Hailey, Gary, Aaron, Mercedes and Jamison.

He is preceeded in death by his father Pink Fortner.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Lawson Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. Family will recieve friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, June 12, 2011 and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, June 13, 2011 at the funeral home. Internment will be 11:30 am Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
