Ruth A. Turner, 84, died Sunday, March 6, 2011.

Born in White County, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Garmon Adams and Charlie Adams.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Worley and Rev. Matt Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday March 7, 2011 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm at the funeral home.

She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Oakwood and loved God and his Son Jesus with all her heart. It was this love that moved her to care for others more than she cared for herself. She is dearly loved by her family and all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.

She was retired from the Warren Featherbone Company in Gainesville. Formerly of Cleveland, she lived in Gainesville for the last sixty years. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by husband, G.B. Turner; brothers, Dallas Adams, Billy Adams and Garnet Adams; and daughter, Linda Stephens.

She is survived by her sister, Connie Tatum, Gainesville; sons Allen Turner, Gainesville and Michael Turner, Gainesville; daughters, Barbara Bagwell, Braselton and Angela Dyer, Eastanollee; grandchildren, Betty Jean Haynes, Braselton, Lori Cobb, Gainesville, Misty Freeman, Flowery Branch, Donnie Dyer, Dawsonville, Amanda Turner, Gainesville; and several great-grandchildren.
