Betty Marie Fain

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Betty Marie Fain, age 83 of Helen. Mrs. Fain passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Fain was born in Akron, Ohio on April 13, 1927 to the late Anthony Franchino and Mabel Ferguson Franchino. She married George Fain May 1st 1946

and in 1973, she and George opened Betty's Country Store in Helen. Mrs. Fain was a member of Helen Presbyterian Church. She also volunteered at the White County Senior Center and was very active in the Sautee Garden Club. She is preceded in death by her husband George Fain.

Mrs. Fain is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Karen Fain, Clarkesville; Steve and Dian Fain, Cleveland; Pat and Kelly Fain, Helen; daughter and sons-in law Drusilla and Steve Shelton, Cleveland; Darlene and Davis Broadway, Sautee; Kelly and Larry Goins, Sautee, brother and sister in law Anthony and Peggy Franchino Jr., Akron, Ohio; sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Glen Custer, Akron, Ohio; brother-in-law Wayne Elliott, Youngstown, Ohio; sister in law Rita Fain, Helen; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren as well as a number of nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday January 4th from 5 to 8 pm Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday January 5th at 11:00 am from the Helen Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ken Ricmond officiating. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the White County Senior Center 1239 Helen Hwy, Cleveland, Georgia 30528
