Martha Ann Brown

Mrs. Martha Ann Brown, age 60, of Dahlonega, GA, left us December 23, 2010 to go be in Heaven.

Martha was a native of Robbinsville, NC and had lived in Lumpkin County most of her life. She worked at the Mohawk Industries plant in Dahlonega for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Brown, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, James & Carey Brown, Gainesville, GA; sons, Michael (Mikey) Brown, Dahlonega, GA, Matthew Brown, Dahlonega, GA; mother, Vernell Whitaker, Andrews, NC; step-father, James (Shorty) Whitaker, Andrews, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Phillip Pierce, Dahlonega, GA, Lisa and Scott Sutton, Andrews, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Charlotte Brown, Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Emily, Alex, and Austin Brown, Gainesville, GA; step-grandchildren, Brady and Kaley Henderson, Knoxville, TN; and many, many loved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Bill Hutcheson will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Friday, December 24, 2010 from 6 PM until 9 PM, all day on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
