Elbert Leon Clark

Mr. Elbert Leon Clark, 84 of Gainesville died Sunday December 5, 2010 at his residence.

A life long resident of Hall County, Mr. Clark was the son of the late Jesse James and Laura Truelove Clark. He was the founder and owner of Leon Clark & Sons Construction Company in Gainesville since 1960. He was a member and deacon of Dewberry Baptist Church #1. Mr. Clark was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; Marian Vaughn Clark, Gainesville; son, Jimmy L. Clark, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law; Richard and Pam Clark, Gainesville; grandson and wife, Russ and Ashley Clark, Gainesville; great grandson, Landon Clark. sister-in-law; Ruby Smith, Gainesville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; John and Louise Vaughn, Cumming; James and Myrtle Vaughn, Cornelia. Special friend, Betty Norrell, Gainesville; several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 7, 2010 at the Dewberry Baptist Church #1. The Rev. Henry Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Monday December 6, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
