Jimmy Thomas Bradley

Obituary Date: Thursday, November 18, 2010
James Thomas Bradley of Dillard, Georgia entered into eternal rest, November 18, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was born June 24, 1948 and is a native of Virginia. Jimmy spent his entire adult life in South Florida prior to retiring in 2002. Since then he has spent time in Florida and his mountain cabin in Dillard, Georgia. He was an avid motorcycle & car enthusiast and loved to travel the country in his 43' RV. James loved the Florida Keys, Boating and Scuba Diving. He was known to pamper every Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and Cadillac so that his beloved wife & family could travel in style. Jimmy was a devoted family man who loved the Holiday Season and cherished giving gifts to his family & friends. There was no such thing as a token gift, the gifts Jimmy gave to those he loved were meaningful and heartfelt and will last a lifetime.

He was owner and operator of Bradley Air Conditioning in Miami, Florida until his retirement in 2002. Over several decades Jimmy grew Bradley Heating & Air into a multi-million dollar business with over 50 employees. His employees were always compensated at the top of the pay scale and Jimmy was known to have the best company Holiday Party in Dade County. Incredibly, he achieved a mechanical contractor license at the age of 18 and was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, Shriner's of North America. Jimmy was a member of South Dade Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce, as well as a Lifetime member of the NRA. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 13.

Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 42 years Rebecca McGill Bradley, his daughters, Kimberly Bradley Heller and Kelly Bradley Napier, his son in laws John Heller and Lee Napier, his granddaughters, McKenzie, Madison and Emma Heller and Rebecca and Jessica Napier, his sister & brother in law Phyllis & Jim Franklyn; Uncle Marshall Stephens; Aunt Opal Peeples; Step Mother, Jeanelle Jordan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his fathers, Odell Pete Bradley and James Thomas Jordan, his mother Sigga Bradley, mother in law Ann French and his sister Hanna Bradley Vanderbeek. Also preceding him in death are his beloved sister in law Carole McGill Bullen and Larry McGill.

The family will celebrate the life of James T. Bradley and receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2010. Graveside Services are scheduled for Monday, November 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 1
