Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Emma Jean Lewallen, 69, of Maysville who died on Monday evening, June 14, 2010, at the NE GA Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Wortie Lee Pressley Evans. She was the widow of Verdell Lewallen. Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Lynn Sorrow of Danielsville; a son, Billy Ray (Glenda) Parson of Commerce; sisters, Shirley Elrod of Gainesville, Joyce Carter of Knoxville, Carolyn Master of Gillsville, Laverne Hutchin of Gillsville; brothers, Larry Evans of Dalton and Ralph Evans of Commerce; 6 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; 3 Step Grandchildren; 2 Step Great Grandchildren. Funeral services for Emma Jean Lewallen will be conducted on Wednesday at 3 PM from the Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Swayne Carlan and Rev. Frank Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-9 PM and at other times at the home of Billy Parson
