Rachel Lee Wilson

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Rachel Lee Wilson, age 81 of Clermont. Mr. Wilson passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at a private nursing home following a period of declining health.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, May 17, 2010 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dennis Taylor and the Rev. Kenneth Pilcher officiating. Interment will follow in Wauka Mtn. Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was born in Hall County on June 18, 1929 to Homer Y. Wilson and Florence Anderson Wilson. He retired with twenty years faithful service with Metric-Venture Construction Company. Mr. Wilson was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church and is preceded in death by his wife, Lurene Wilson and brothers, Bill Wilson and Asbury Wilson.

Survivors include his daughter and son in law, Vickie & Ricky Jones, Clermont; daughters Brenda Wilson, Dawsonville and Linda Wilson, Dahlonega; sons and daughters in law, Lee & Cindy Wilson, Carnesville, Donnie & Carolyn Wilson, Commerce ; brothers, Gene Wilson, Clermont; Edward Wilson, Murrayville; Ransey Wilson, Clermont, J.D. Wilson, Clermont, Jack Wilson, Gainesville, Clyde Wilson, Murrayville and Junior Wilson, Clermont. Mr. Wilson is also survived by a sister, Ruth Carter of Gainesville as well as 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday evening from 6 to 9 PM
