Melvin John Taylor

Melvin John Taylor, age 84, of 2732 Old Highway 441 S., Tiger died Monday, May 3, 2010 at his residence.

A life-long resident of Rabun County, he was born on October 26, 1925, to the late Minnie Whitmire and Leamon Rennard Taylor. During World War II, he served as a Navy medic with the First Marine Division in the Pacific Theater. After attending Piedmont College, Taylor began his long career as a truck farmer and was known as â
