Ricky Gene Strickland

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 5, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church in White County for Ricky Gene Strickland, 52, of Gainesville; the Rev. Chad Cantrell officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:30 am- 11:00 am Friday, March 5th.

Mr. Strickland was born in Valdosta and had lived a number of years in Hall County. He was a mechanic and had served in the U.S. Marines. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife Janie Murphy Strickland, Gainesville; sons, Ricky Jonathan Strickland, Chicago, Il., Thomas Strickland, Gainesville; daughter, Amanda Bryan, Gainesville; mother, Patricia Ann Hoffert, Lincoln, Nebraska; brothers, Jewell Strickland, McDonough, Tommy Joe Strickland, Flowery Branch; sisters, Vickey Holbrook, Flowery Branch, Deborah Cochran, Flowery Branch, Felicia Michelle Smith, Cleveland, Tennessee; grandchildren, Regan and Morgan Bryan and Joshua Strickland .
