Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Audrey A. Martin, age 77, of Athens who passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010. Mrs. Martin, born in Talladega, Alabama, was a daughter of the late Waddie and Leila Thomas. She was a retired elementary school teacher with the Gwinnett County Schools; and was a member of Loganville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Troy Carlis Martin of Athens; son, Carlis Martin of Marietta; daughter, Sharon Martin of Charleston, South Carolina; and daughter, Charlotte Beaty of Flowery Branch; twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Barden officiating. Interment will follow in Evans Memory Gardens, Jefferson. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Williams, Rick Snell, James Williams, Travis Martin, Wesley Snell, and Jake Snell.
