Billy Nathaniel Elder

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Billy Nathaniel Elder, age 81, of Jefferson who passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010. Mr. Elder was a son of the late John Billups Elder and the late Fannie Lee Whitehead Elder. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Medical Corp; and was a 1952 Graduate of the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing. Mr. Elder was a member of Galilee Christian Church; a charter and life time member of the Jefferson Lions Club; and was a past little league baseball coach. He served as the Jackson County Clerk of Superior Court from 1953-1991; and was a member and past president of the Georgia Superior Court Clerkâ
