Hoyt Robinson Nix of Gainesville died peacefully at his home Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the age of 91.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Nix; sons, Johnny and Jimmy Nix of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jack Nix and wife Pam, Steve Nix, Zachary Nix and wife Caroline; great-grandchildren, Megan and Sarah Nix.
Hoyt was a veteran of WWII, having served with the 93rd Seabees in the Pacific. Upon returning home, he started a residential construction business and continued to retirement.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Milton Martin, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, 845 West Ridge Rd., Gainesville, GA 30501.
