Mary Louise Ingram Major Gilmer

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Mary Louise Ingram Major Gilmer, age 81 of Murrayville. Mrs. Gilmer passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dean Bryant officiating. Interment will be held Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Gwinnett County.

Mrs. Gilmer was born in Murrayville to Charlie Ingram and Nell Ledford Ingram. She lived most of her life in Gwinnett County where she retired fm the Pruitt Corporation. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and attended Wahoo Baptist Church. Mrs. Gilmer is preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Major and Bobby Gilmer, son, Tommy Major and sister Hazel Strickland.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Tony & D.J. Major, Murrayville; sister, Charlene Anderson, Murrayville 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM
