James Terrell Squires

Mr. James Terrell Squires age 76 of Gainesville passed away Thursday Oct. 29, 2009 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.



Mr. Squires was born June 11, 1933 in Hall County to the late James H. and Margaret Terrell Squires. He served his Country in the United States Army, having fought in the Korean Conflict. He was the founder of Ambit Hearing Aids, and was a private investigator with Southeastern Investigations. He started Suburban Fire Department in 1963 and it was later bought by Hall County Fire Services. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Charles Squires.



Survivors include, wife of 55 Years Carol M. Squires of Gainesville, daughter, Deborah S. Terrell of Dahlonega, son, David Terrell Squires of Savannah, 2 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, sister, Joanne Knight of Powell, TN.



The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday Nov. 1, 2009 at the Mason & Ward Funeral Home.



Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Evans, Rev. Matt McGowan, and Rev. David McDonald officiating.



The family request that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Basic Sunday School Class for Missions at the First Presbyterian Church 800 Enota Avenue, Gainesville, GA 30501, or to Eagle s ranch 5500 Union Church Road, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
