Barbara Elizabeth Donohue

Barbara Elizabeth Donohue, 79, of Cumming, GA died on October 21, 2009. She was born September 8, 1930 to the late Joseph Edward and Hilda Clarice (Burgess) Donohue in New York City. Her brother, Richard Donohue also preceded her in death.

Barbara lived in Glendale, NY until 1965 when her job with Eastman Kodak moved her to Williamson, NY. She was a professional secretary for many years, then a systems supervisor. In 1994 she moved to Cumming, GA to be near family. Barbara was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing Canasta with her friends in Cumming and had traveled extensively in the US and Europe.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her sister Patricia (John) Meier of Cumming, GA; sister-in-law, June Donohue of Whitney, TX; nieces and nephews, John (Marie) Meier of Cumming, GA, Suzanne (Donald) Easley of Cumming, GA, David (Ellen) Meier of Kona, HI, Lori (Philip) Morgan on Cumming, GA, Barbara (Thomas) Spencer of Whitney, TX, Diane Dangelmaier of Grapevine, TX, Maureen Faure of Whitney, TX, Richard (Nikki) Donohue, Jr. of Ft Worth, TX and 15 great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 3:30 pm of Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cumming, GA. Pastor Kerry Maurer will officiate.
