Nettie Dixon

Mrs. Nettie Lou Dixon, age 88, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Dixon was born on May 3, 1921 to the late Freeman and Elena Dalton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arnold Dixon. Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker and a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Janice and Jeff McGhee, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Billy Wayne and Donna Dixon, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jelena and Tommy McClure, Tonya and Sam Knight, Stephanie and Scott Key, Latasha and Chad Smith, sisters in law, Mary Lou Dalton, Cleveland, Evelyn Sims, Gainesville, and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Monday from Chattahoochee Baptist Church. The Rev. Teddy Allen and Rev. J.R. Elrod will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. and 6-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
