Mrs. Ouida Griffin Adams, age 60, of Gillsville died Wednesday October 7, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.
Ouida graduated from East Hall High School. Following high school, she was employed by First National Bank of Gainesville. Since that time, she has worked at Tadmore Elementary and took great pride in looking out for the students in her community. She was dearly loved by her community and family.
She was born on December 28, 1948 in Hall County to Carolyn Brock Griffin and Acie L. Griffin. She was proceeded in death by her Father Acie L. Griffin, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lamar Brock and paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Griffin. Father-In-Law , John C. Adams and Aunt, Winnie Poole
She is survived by her husband, Lamar Adams, Gillsville; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Rich Atkinson, Suwanee; granddaughter Sarah Suzanne Atkinson, Suwanee; Mother Carolyn Brock Griffin of Gillsville; brothers Tony Griffin and Tommy Griffin, both of Gillsville; neice Rose Griffin, Gillsville; mother-In-Law Mary Adams, Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law Bill and Rossie Adams, Jakin, Georgia, Travis and Jean Adams, Dahlonega, Georgia; aunts and uncles Ben and Mary Ann Brock, Gainesville, Earl and Pauline Brock, Gainesville, Marian Jones, Gainesville, Bobby Poole, Gainesville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Ward's Funeral Home, Gainesville, Georgia with Reverend Ted Poole and Reverend Marshall Dale officiating. Interment to follow in the Lebanon Perpetual Care Cemetery
