Willie Richard Bagby

Mr. Willie Richard Bagby, age 57, of Jasper, GA and formerly of Forsyth County, GA died Friday September 25, 2009 at the Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Mr. Bagby was born in Forsyth County, GA Jan. 17, 1952. He had lived in Pickens County for the past several months. He worked for AT&T for many years and was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was the son of the late Luther and Myrtle Dover Bagby and was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Bagby.

Mr. Bagby is survived by his son, Wiliam Bagby of Dawsonville, GA; stepson, Robby McGinnis of Cumming, GA; brother, Walter Bagby of Dawsonville, GA; sisters, Barbara Bagby of Atlanta, GA, Pam and Harold Sullens, of Gainesville, GA, Vickie and Brad Ellison of Gainesville, GA; nieces and nephews, Luke and Amy Bagby, Chris Bagby, Ricky Jones, Kimesha Goldsmith, Crystal Garcia, Keynan Braswell, and Latosha Sullens; great-nieces and great-nephews, Chase, Cameron, and Chloe Bagby, Michaela Bagby, Destiny Ellison, Dustin Lawson, Mia and Emily Garcia. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Bagby are scheduled for 11 AM Monday September 28, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Forsyth County with military honors provided by the Veterans Alliance Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Saturday starting at 6 PM and all day on Sunday.
