Darla Diane Berry

Darla Diane Berry, age 71 passed away Thursday, August 13, at Northside-Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Ga., after bravely battling complications from recent injuries.

Born May 20, 1938, Darla was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife of 42 years. Primarily a resident of Akron and Uniontown, she graduated from East High, attended the University of Akron, and devoted much of her life to being a mother and homemaker. She and her loving husband, David, relocated to Sun City West, Arizona in 2000.

Darla was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Blevins. She is survived by her father, Woodrow Blevins and her step-mother, Leah; husband, David Berry; son, Garin Berry; daughter-in-law, Laura Berry; and grandsons, Brock and Jacob Berry.

A memorial service honoring Darla Berry will be held on Saturday, August 22nd in Arizona.

After coping with severe arthritis for much of her adult life, the family requests donation to the Arthritis Foundation www.arthritis.org in lieu of flowers.
