Evans Funeral Home announces the death of
Mrs. Lottie Lee Toney Mitchell, age 88, of Jefferson, who passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009. Mrs. Mitchell, born in Hall County, was a daughter of the late, Thurston and Ruby Toney. Mrs. Mitchell, along with her husband: A.G. Mitchell, founded and operated Mitchell Hardware and Building Supply continuously since 1950. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church; and was preceded in death by her son: Jerry Mitchell and daughter-in-law: Judy Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband: A.G. Mitchell of Jefferson. Son: Billy Mitchell of Bogart. Daughter-in-law: Linda Mitchell of Jefferson. Grandchildren: Mitch and Christi Mitchell of Jefferson; Kellie and Tom Fletcher of Athens; Shane and Darrell Chaisson of Jefferson; Karen and John Canupp of Jefferson; Bill and Patty Mitchell of Jefferson. Great-grandchildren: Chase and Brayson Mitchell; Alexandra and Connor Kinney; Will Fletcher; Ridge and Riley Chaisson; Lilly Grace and Mitchell Canupp; Craigan and Chanzlee Mitchell. Sister: Nell Venable of Jefferson.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 15, 2009 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Minister Tom Plank officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Hopkins, Jim Joiner, Joe Elrod, George Kesler, James Toney, and Donald Roberts.
