Bob C. Wayne

Obituary Date: Thursday, May 14, 2009
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday May 17, 2009 in Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Bob Carlisle Wayne, 83 of Flowery Branch.

The Rev. Paul Wade will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Saturday May 16, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Hospice 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, Suite 112, Gainesville, Georgia 30501-1723. Bob passed away Thursday May 14, 2009 at his residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Bob was the son of the late Paul and Lena Carlisle Wayne. A graduate of Flowery Branch High School, Bob also attended the University of Georgia; he was a member of the Gainesville Elks Club and the Flowery Branch United Methodist Church. Bob along with his brother Gene formed and operated Aqualand Marina from 1959 until 1998 and also owned and operated Wayne Brothers Furniture Store in Flowery Branch from 1947 until 1994; he also was a member of the Flowery Branch Masonic Lodge.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife; Martha Wayne.

Survivors include his Daughter and Son-in-law; Mary Ellen and David Perry, Flowery Branch; Son and Daughter-in-law; Mike and LeAnne Wayne, Flowery Branch; Son, Dale Wayne, Pasadena, California; Grandchildren; Bert and Jennifer Flewellen, Griffin; Jonathan and Heather Wayne, Flowery Branch; Blake Wayne, Flowery Branch; Michael Perry, Atlanta; James and Allison Wildenburg, Atlanta; Great Grandchildren; Emily Flewellen and Sydney Flewellen, both of Griffin; Ella Kay Wayne, Flowery Branch; Landon Wildenburg, Atlanta; Brother and Sister-in-law; Ed and June Wayne, Gainesville; Brother, Bill Wayne, Gainesville; Sister and Brother-in-law; Jenny and Lou Fecher, Bend, Oregon; Sister-in-law; Marcelle McDonald, Winder, also survived by his Special caregivers, Joan Allen, Tiffany Smallwood and Helline Cantrell. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
