Ochal Virginia Reese Mcalister

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Ochal Virginia Reese Mcalister , age 86 of Demorest. Mrs. Mcalister passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 12, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Michael Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow in Return Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mcalister was born on May 17, 1922 in Walton County, Georgia to William T. Sims Sr. and Minnie Jane Wood Sims. She moved to Habersham County in 1973 from DeKalb County . Mrs. Mcalister was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church,and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxilliary, McCrary-Adams Unit #9 in Macon. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Mcalister, son, James Reese, brother, William Sims Jr. and sisters, Joan Anderson, Urlene Carlyle and Reba Westbrooks

She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Mark & DeAnn Mcalister, Cleveland; Ned & Dorothy Reese, Kathleen, Ga.; sister, Myrtle Oâ
