Donald J. "Don" Strickland

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday , February 3, 2009, at Central Baptist Church for Donald J. "Don" Strickland, 65, Gainesville. Rev. Scott Strickland, Rev. Earl Pirkle and Rev. Boone Strickland will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at Wards Funeral Home on Monday 2pm- 4pm and 6pm- 9pm.

Mr. Strickland was a lifelong resident of Hall County and was the son of W.A. and Alene Kephart Strickland. Mr. Strickland was a former Officer with the Gainesville Police Department, A long time employee of Vickers Funeral Home, A graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science and was a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He was Purchasing Agent for Industrial Pipe Co. and was an Avid 5-k Runner. Mr. Strickland was a member and Deacon of Central Baptist Church.
