Clark Irvin III

Mason & Ward Funeral Home of Gainesville announces the death of Mr. Clark Irvin III, of Dawsonville who passed from this life after an extended illness January 20, 2009.

Clark was born March 5th, 1956 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and resided in the Hall county area his entire life. He graduated from Gainesville High School and received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Technical
Institute in Marietta, Georgia.

He owned and operated Irvin Construction Company for over 20 years. He was a member of the Associated General Contractors, the Experimental Aircraft Association & the
Aerobatics Association of America.

Although his passion was flying and restoration of antique aircraft, his interest and hobbies were varied from playing the guitar to hunting and enjoying the outdoors.

Clark was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sue Kinsler Irvin.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Irvin of Dawsonville; son and fiancée, Henry Irvin and Kristin Avery of Gainesville; daughter, Anna Irvin of Gainesville; father and stepmother,
Joseph C., Jr. and Carol Irvin of Flowery Branch; sisters and brother in law, Suzanne Porter of Gainesville and Jennifer and Gary Duvall of Cleveland; stepsons & daughters-
in-law Trey & Shannon Houston, Toby & Dawn Houston; stepdaughter Sarah Houston Lay, Brother-in-law Mike McLaughlin of Dawsonville, and grand daughter Taylor Houston; nephews, Scott and Sharon Porter, Joey and Stacy
Porter; and lifelong friends, Snoopy and Spirit.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Gabriel Episcopal Church, Oakwood, Ga. on Friday January 23rd @ 2:00 P.M. Rev. Bill Combs will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and also following the service at the home of Suzanne Porter immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to The American Lung Association 61 Broadway, New York, NY. 10006 or to Dawson County Humane Society 633
