Vandals hit Flowery Branch neighborhood

By B.J. Williams
FLOWERY BRANCH - Hall County authorities said they will have extra patrols during the night-time hours at Hunters Point subdivision in the Flowery Branch area after a house and several vehicles were spray painted with graffiti Tuesday night.

Deputy Nicole Bailes with the Hall County Sheriff's Office said investigators do not believe the graffiti is related to any kind of gang activity. She said it does not appear the vandals targeted anyone in particular.

"It was very sporadic throughout this neighborhood, just looking like juveniles went on a spree with black spray paint," said Bailes.

She said there was no way to estimate the price tag on the damage, and she said it appeared most of the damage could be cleaned without having to replace siding on the home or the hubcaps on the vehicles that were painted. She also said a stop sign was painted with offensive language.

Bailes said if anyone has information on who might have caused the damage, investigators would appreciate a phone call at 770-531-6878, or tipsters can remain anonymous by calling the tip line at 770-503-3232.

Hunters Point is located off Cash Road.
