Piedmont students making art to aid Clarkesville fire victims

By Staff
DEMOREST - Piedmont College ceramics students are working to aid Clarkesville renovations with a project that hits you where you eat.

Several downtown businesses were destroyed or damaged by fire March 5. (See earlier story. Link below.)

On April 24, The Attic restaurant will be preparing dinners served on dishes especially made for the event by art majors Rose-Hannah Keith of Clarkesville, Ariel Coke of Honey Brook, Pa., and Rosie Walk of Lilburn.

The three students are creating about 130 plates, bowls and other items for the dinner, and the first 20 customers will be able to purchase the items with their meals.

Prices will range from $12 to $30, with 25 percent of the sales going to the Downtown Clarkesville renovation project.
