Boys basketball: East Hall edges out West Hall in OT

OAKWOOD -- The East Hall boys basketball team kept control of the No. 2 seed in Region 7-AAA on Saturday -- just.

The Vikings (12-10, 8-3 Region 7-AAA) edged out West Hall 82-80 in Oakwood, edging out a neck-and-neck battle through regulation that finished tied 74-74.

Kyvon Davenport scored 20 points to pace East Hall, while Antonio Maddox scored 12 all on 3-pointers. Milton Whelchel also added 10.

Deandre Peoples and Tyquan Statham each put up 21 points to pace the Spartans.

East Hall will play host to White County on Tuesday.

West Hall travels to face Buford on Tuesday.
