FLOWERY BRANCH - The South Hall Republican Club will host its final meeting and political forum of the current election cycle Monday at the Spout Springs Library in Flowery Branch.

U.S. Senate candidate Karen Handel will be the featured speaker and will have a question-and-answer session following her remarks.

Though Handel doesn't face the voters until a year from now, the candidates for Flowery Branch mayor and city council will do so the next day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, and they are scheduled to appear Monday night, as well:

Incumbent Mayor Mike Miller and challenger Shanon Lutz
Incumbent Tara Richards and her challenger, former Councilman Chris Fetterman
Incumbent Fred Richards and his challenger, Ed Edwards

The meeting begins at 6:30 but the candidates are expected to be there at 6:00 for a "meet and greet," according to club president Ed Asbridge.
