By Staff
GAINESVILLE - The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce's annual Eggs & Issues Breakfast, featuring members of the Hall County state legislative delegation, will be held Thursday, Dec. 13 from 7:30-9:00 at the Gainesville Civic Center. Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and newly-elected 9th District Congressman Doug Collins will also be on the program.

It is open to the public but reservations are required.

The forum is presented each December in advance of the opening of the Georgia General Assembly in January.

The elected officials expected to attend this year are:

Lt. Governor: Casey Cagle
9th District Congressman-Elect: Doug Collins
49th Georgia Senate District: State Senator Butch Miller
25th Georgia House District: Representative Emory Dunahoo, Jr.
26th Georgia House District: Representative Carl Rogers
27th Georgia House District: Representative-Elect Lee Hawkins
103rd Georgia House District: Representative-Elect Timothy Barr

"The Greater Hall Chamber always has 100% participation from the Hall County delegation at this event," said Kit Dunlap, Greater Hall Chamber President and CEO. "Our legislators remain interested in hearing what the citizens of this community have to say, and the attendees want to hear what the legislators have to say. The issues that have already been identified prior to the legislative session have a direct impact on our community, and we need to better understand the issues as well as have an understanding of the legislators' positions on these important issues. Issues to be discussed at the event include transportation, water, taxes, jobs, reapportionment and education."

The full buffet breakfast will be sponsored by Jackson EMC.

The cost to attend is $20 for Chamber members; $25 for non-members and at the door. To make reservatons, contact Joy Sims, 770-532-6206. Email: [email protected], or make your reservations online at greaterhallchamber.com
