GAINESVILLE - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers resumed normal shoreline management at Lake Lanier Monday following the end of the summer recreation season.
Corps officials said due to the lake level dropping below 1063 mean sea level, permit requests for new private docks and upgrades to existing private docks will not be accepted until the lake level rises above 1064.
They said that's in accordance with the Lake Lanier Low Water Action Plan, which they've operated under in similar drought conditions.
Corps officials said the level of Lake Lanier is expected to conitue to decline as drought conditions continue.
