The Wind is Your Friend: but it takes a while to enjoy its company
The forecast called for winds up to 30 miles-per-hour. What sort of idiot would get pumped-up, much-the-less venture out onto the open expanses of Lake Lanier under such daunting conditions?

Where's my winter?
I remember anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Captain Midnight Secret De-coder Ring. Nearly a year of eating cereal I didn’t particularly enjoy finally provided enough box tops to send off for that bad-boy! Now all I had to do was wait for it to arrive.

Whew! I think I survived. The first full weekend of 2017 included a blizzard and/or ice storm warning, stampedes at the grocery store, and me splitting firewood at a record pace.
