The Gainesville City Council gave tentative approval at their work session this morning to the proposed FY 2019 budget that was presented to them late last month. The measure will be placed on the agenda for final approval at the council’s voting session on Tuesday.
An eleventh hour change (made by the applicant) affecting an annexation request that was tabled last month had staff scrambling Tuesday evening as the Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board met to consider the request.
The vote was unanimous Thursday evening as the Flowery Branch City Council decided after 90-minutes of back-and-forth public comment to spend $12,360 to retain a traffic engineer and begin the process of creating an ordinance to govern the use of PTVs.
