Gwinnett County commissioners have approved funding for a partnership organization to combat the county's homelessness.
Commissioners committed $950,000 to the HomeFirst Gwinnett Initiative Tuesday.
Gwinnett Daily Post reported the HomeFirst Gwinnett was setup last year and is a partnership between the county, Primerica and United Way.
The money is earmarked to help establish an entry system, assessment centers, housing and diversion programs.
