Public input wanted to name Forsyth County's 11th middle school

Forsyth County's 11th middle school needs and name and the board of education hopes the community will help choose it.
 
Director of Communications Jennifer Caracciolo says they came up with two possible names including Cobb Creek, after a small creek that runs through the property of the new school, and Drew. "So, it's named after the unincorporated community. A Post Office named Drew was also established in 1889 and remained in operation until 1904."

Tom Cleveland, from District 3, suggested the name Hendricks in honor of former board member Don Hendricks.

The board wants residents to vote for one of the two names or submit their own on the district's website.
 
The group will make a final decision on a name at their February meeting.
