Northeast Georgia Medical Center seeks public support for additional services at Braselton hospital

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

Northeast Georgia Medical Center is seeking public support for plans to add a surgery center its Braselton campus.

Hospital officials, who are seeking a certificate of need from the state for the addition, have launched a campaign to involve the public in getting messages of support to the Georgia Department of Community Health, the agency charged with approving such medical projects.

Plans call for a 25,000 square foot facility, complete with four operating rooms and two procedure rooms. Tentative plans call for it to open in Spring 2021.

NGMC has set up an online procedure for members of the public to use in sending letters of support to the state electronically.
