INK grand reopening set for Feb. 1

By AccessWDUN Staff

Almost five months after a sprinkler system flooded the building, INK (Interactive Neighborhood for Kids) is preparing for its Grand Reopening.

According to a news release from the organization, the repairs and renovations are nearing completion. "With carefully restored favorite exhibits and freshly designed and installed new exhibits, the fun and imagination that is essential to INK will resume on February 1, 2019."

Water flooded the building, located on Chestnut Street, in September when the sprinkler system activated because of a small fire.

New exhibits will include a revamped bank experience presented by Pinnacle Bank and a nod to manufacturing and HR with ZF Industries.

Reopening activities will include a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 1:00 pm, followed by guided tours to see the changes and restorations that have taken place. Regular operations will resume on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Birthday Party and Field Trip Reservations are now being accepted. Regular operating hours will once again be Monday – Saturday, 10:00 am-5:00 pm, and Sunday 1:00-5:00 pm. Admission is $8.00 per person Monday – Saturday and $6.00 per person on Sundays.
