The work zone on the widening project on I-85 in Gwinnett and Jackson County now has a reduced speed limit.
Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Katie Strickland said Friday the speed will be reduced by 10 miles per hour from Hamilton Mill Road (Gwinnett County) to State Route 53 (Jackson County).
"70 is going to turn to 60 on all signs throughout the widening project," Strickland said.
The reduction in speed limit has also been done at other work zone locations in the area.
