The Forsyth County Board of Education recently got a glimpse at the architectural design for Forsyth County's 11th middle school.
Director of Facilities Planning Tim Amerson presented the plans that mimic the recent expansion of South Forsyth and Riverwatch middle schools.
Amerson summarized the building concept for board members.
"So, it's going to be about 90 classrooms for about FTE 1,500 capacity," Amerson said.
The new school will be built on Hyde Rd. off of Hwy. 20 on the northwest side of the county.
Amerson said construction should begin in October 2019 and the school should be open by August of 2021.
Voters approved a $295 million bond to include the construction of two elementary schools, a middle school, a high schoo, and a new facility for academies of creative education to be completed by 2021.
