Softball: East Hall blasts Fannin County; Stephens bests Rabun

The East Hall softball team handled Fannin County, 9-1 on Monday.

The Lady Vikings tallied four runs in the third inning, led by Kaitlyn Daniel, Abigail Brown, and Brooke Hewell.

Macy Banks earned the victory on the rubber for East Hall. The pitcher lasted 6 innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out nine and walking one.

Amelia Sneed took the loss for Fannin County. She went 4 innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out two and walking one.

The Lady Vikings scattered eight hits in the game. Carley Cox and Calli Hardison each managed multiple hits for Vikings. Hardison and Cox each managed two hits to lead Vikings. Vikings was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brown made the most plays with 10.

Kasey Westmoreland came the ballpark and meant business on Monday, driving in five on three hits to lead Stephens County past Rabun County 9-1.  Westmoreland drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the fourth.

Stephens County Indians Varsity secured the victory thanks to five runs in the second inning.  The rally was led by singles by Kayley Sellers , Westmoreland, Emma Whitfield, and an error on a ball put in play by Brenna McCall.

Stephens County Indians Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning.  Stephens County Indians Varsity scored two runs when Westmoreland doubled.

Stephens County Indians Varsity notched five runs in the second inning.  Stephens County Indians Varsity's offense in the inning came from singles by Sellers and Westmoreland,  by Whitfield, and an error on a ball put in play by McCall.

Allie Huff earned the victory in the circle for Stephens County Indians Varsity. She surrendered one run on six hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

Morgan Butts took the loss for Rabun County. She allowed six hits and seven runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.

Stephens County Indians Varsity totaled nine hits.  Westmoreland and Whitfield all had multiple hits for Stephens County Indians Varsity.  Westmoreland went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Stephens County Indians Varsity in hits.

Butts led Rabun County with two hits in three at bats.
