Several racing programs washed out over the weekend

Mother Nature caused woes for race fans across the south over the weekend, as persistent and heavy evening storms led to several race cancellations and postponements.

Georgia’s Hartwell Speedway was not far from being ready to race on Saturday night when a huge thunderstorm roared into the area, washing out the evening’s races. Hartwell is slated to return to action on Saturday, August 25. Visit Hartwell-Speedway.com for more information.

In Winder, Georgia, the Lucas Oil Southern States Midget Series was slated to headline action at Winder-Barrow Speedway on Saturday. But with severe weather forecast for the evening, the full night’s action was postponed. The raceway is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, August 25, while the LOSSMS appearance has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 15. For more information, visit WinderBarrowSpeedway.net.

Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina was set to host the Southeast Super Trucks in a special Saturday night race, but the threat of wet weather led race officials to postpone the event. Georgia’s historic Toccoa Raceway was set to host the host to the Alpha Art 602 Thunder Touring Series on Saturday night, but the wet weather washed out the entire race night. The speedway is set to return to action on Saturday, August 25. Visit ToccoaRaceway.com for more info.

Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia was scheduled to host the USCS Sprint Car Series, but saw their night go away with torrential rains. Racing is set to return to the speedway on Saturday, August 25. For more information, visit SenoiaRaceway.com for updates.

The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series was slated to compete at Tennessee’s Crossville Speedway, only to see it have to be postponed due to the threat of wet weather. The series will now head for Georgia’s Senoia Raceway on Saturday, August 25. Check UltimateSupers.com for further information.

The Lucas Oil Super Late Model Series was scheduled to compete at Batesville Motor Speedway in Arkansas, but rain washed out their plans. The series returns to action on August 25 at Ohio’s Mansfield Motor Speedway. For more information, visit LucasDirt.com.
