The man charged with biting a teen aged girl on the backside at Lake Lanier is a school teacher at Snellville Middle School.
Jonathan William Herbert, 30, Dacula is accused of being intoxicated and swimming under the water and bitting the teen aged girl.
Herbert faces charges in Hall County of sexual battery, cruelty to children and public drunkenness .
A spokesman for Gwinnett County Schools told the Gwinnett Daily Post Herbert has been with the system since 2016 and teaches at Snellville Middle School.
The spokesman added the school system has launched it's own investigation into Herbert and his recent arrest.
Herbert bonded out of the Hall County Detention Center on $6,030 bond.
Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dereck Booth said there are no known ties between Herbert and his alleged victim.
