Two charged in death last month of Hoschton man

Two people face charges in the May 9 murder of a Hoschton man. 

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office said Wesley Daniel Cooper, 38, of Hoschton and  Rachel Lynn Cooper, 33, of Cumming remain behind bars in connection with the death of Daniel Fowler, 43.

Rachel Lynn Cooper was arrested June 2 and charged with cruelty to children and tampering with evidence.

Wesley Daniel Cooper was arrested June 7. He has been charged with Fowler's murder along with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies and a list of other offenses. 

Fowler was found dead in the driveway of his home on Victron Drive. He had been shot in the chest. Some news accounts said Fowler had a knife in his hand. 

Investigators have not released a possible motive in the murder.
