Gainesville couple arrested, charged in May armed robbery

A Gainesville couple is facing charges in connection to an armed robbery and home invasion May 30 on Newton Street, Hall County Sheriff's deputies said.

Keyshon Jenard Pulliam, 19, and Mattaline Virginia Patterson, 18, allegedly forced their way into the home and used a handgun to rob a man of cash, his cellphone, wallet and keys, said Lt. Scott Ware, public information officer, in an interview with AccessWDUN.

Investigators believe the victim was going to pay for drugs or sex, but the deal went bad. The victim is not expected to be charged at this point, said Ware.

Warrants were taken out for Pulliam and Patterson's arrests on May 31, and they were taken into custody early Thursday morning and booked into the Hall County Jail.

Pulliam is charged with armed robbery and home invasion, while Patterson is charged with armed robbery.

At last report, bond had not been set for either suspect.

The victim was not seriously injured in the incident.
