Beach closed due to bacteria at Bolding Mill

The Army Corps of Engineers plans to retest the waters at Bolding Mill Wednesday to see if they can reopen the beach there.

According to a Facebook post, officials closed the day use beach at Bolding Mill Friday, just before the Memorial Day weekend, due to high E. coli levels.

Officials say the high levels of bacteria could be harmful but they hope the closure will only be temporary.
