Mother Nature was the big winner at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia on Saturday, as rain cut the second Summit ET event of the season short with only three classes complete on the day.
In Super Pro Bike, Tim Sutton defeated Andrew Patterson, with Sutton running an 8.890 ET off his 8.85 dial in at 142.91 mph with a 0.048 reaction time. Patterson ran an 8.82 ET on an 8.90 dial in at 152.43 and a 0.122 reaction.
Patterson still went home a winner, as he defeated Eric Browning for the Street ET Bike victory. Patterson ran an 8.947 ET off an 8.90 dial in at 139.59 mph with a reaction of 0.060. Browning ran a 9.143 on a 9.09 dial in at 149.61 mph with a 0.241 reaction.
In the 10-12 JR Dragster final, 9-year-old Stephen Skelton defeated 10-year-old Shannon Blanton for the win. Skelton ran an 8.949 ET off his dial in of 8.90 at 73.50 mph and a 0.178 reaction time. Blanton ran a 9.178 off her 8.94 dial in at 69.97 mph and a reaction of 0.078.
